This is your starting point for building a custom GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) module. Whether you're targeting MegaShift transmission control, EGT logging, or other custom applications, this modular kit lets you tailor your build to fit your specific needs. We provide the essentials; you add the application packages based on your goals and firmware capabilities.

As new firmware features are released, we'll continue to expand the available application add-ons.

Included in the Basic GPIO Kit:

  • GPIO Main Board – All surface mount components professionally pre-installed

  • AMPSEAL 35-pin Connector – Secure automotive-grade connection

  • Short Pigtail Harness – Pre-crimped leads for simplified wiring

  • 5V Internal Voltage Regulator

  • Machined Aluminum Heat Sink – Durable and thermally efficient

  • Heat Sink Compound – Ensures proper thermal transfer

  • Jumpers – For configuring board functionality

  • DB9 Connector – For serial communication with your laptop

  • Bare Aluminum Case – Cutout for AMPSEAL, blank rear panel for sealing

Notes:

  • Stereo jack-style connectors are not included; we’ve standardized on the DB9 serial interface for better reliability and easier sealing.

  • Case design allows for easy customization. We recommend soldering the AMPSEAL connector from the top while the case is partially assembled to align everything properly due to the compact enclosure size.

  • Application packages (sold separately) allow you to build the GPIO into a MegaShift TCU, EGT logger, or other specialized device.
