Eric Anderson: Supercharged SSM Miata

Knoxville, TN native Eric Anderson has built what may be the most successful autocross car in the United States—and perhaps the world. Known as LaFawnda, this once-daily-driven Miata has transformed into a full-on race car, bringing home multiple SCCA National Championships and cementing its place in autocross history.

A Record-Breaking Championship Car

LaFawnda is co-driven by Eric Anderson and Randall Wilcox, a duo that has dominated SCCA competition. Between them, the car has earned:

  • 3x SSM National Championships

  • 1x XP National Championship

  • The first car in SCCA history to win two open class National Championships in the same season (SSM and XP, 2021).

In 2021, Eric also claimed the prestigious Triad Award by winning a Pro Solo event, a National Tour, and the SCCA National Championship in Lincoln—all in a single season. Co-driver Wilcox is chasing his own Triad, and with another top podium finish, he will join that elite group.

Why MS3Pro Powers the Winning Formula

“The team at AMP EFI and DIYAutoTune have supported us with expert advice and quality products since 2011,” Anderson explained.

“The MS3Pro took our engine management to the next level, and their expertise and product quality gives us the confidence needed to win two different class championships in the same weekend with the same car.”

With MS3Pro engine management, the Miata benefits from precise fuel and ignition control, seamless data logging, and advanced traction management—all crucial to competing at the highest level.
