50mm/54mm Nissan Optical Trigger Wheel

Description

Convert your Nissan CAS (Crank Angle Sensor) to a more MegaSquirt-friendly arrangement with our bolt-in 50mm or 54mm Nissan Trigger Wheel! This trigger wheel replaces the stock low-resolution Nissan wheel with a higher resolution 24-2 crank trigger, designed to enhance your ignition timing accuracy. It’s intended for use with MS2 or MS3 ECUs (MS3 has experimental support for the stock CAS, but this wheel provides improved resolution).

  • SR20DE (Note: Some FWD applications used a 54 mm trigger wheel; please check before ordering.)
  • SR20DET (Note: Some FWD applications used a 54 mm trigger wheel; please check before ordering. All RWD versions are believed to use 50 mm.)

54mm Trigger Wheel:

• Nissan Engines:
  • L28ET (1982-1983 models; earlier versions used a variable reluctor sensor)
  • KA24E (Note: Some KA24Es use a 50 mm trigger wheel; please check before ordering.)
  • VG30E
  • VG30ET

These trigger wheels are also compatible with other Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Suzuki CAS applications. The 50mm wheel fits setups with a 50mm outer diameter and a D-shaped hole, while the 54mm fits setups with a 54mm outer diameter and a D-shaped hole. However, these wheels do not fit most RB, VG, or CA engines.

Installation:

• Simply remove the CAS or distributor cover, take off the distributor rotor, and undo the central Philips screw to replace the stock trigger wheel with the new one.
