Jon Coleman’s 2003 Mustang is a legitimate 7 second car with all the equipment you would normally expect to see in a 7 second car… and air conditioning, and power steering, overdrive and hi-def stereo, of course! [VIDEO BELOW]
Coleman built this monster at DBR High Performance in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where he is the Shop Foreman. DBR is a FULL service performance facility with dyno that specializes in turn key 1000+hp solutions, many of them equipped with MS3Pro & MegaSquirt Engine Management Systems. Last week, the DBR team was fortunate to campaign five of their cars at Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week , where four of them finished in the top 10 in Super Street Small Block Power Adder, one of the quickest and most competitive classes showcased!
Our hats are off to Jon, who came in a very respectable 2nd place, turning in THREE 7 second passes including a personal best 7.64 ET at 183mph with a brand new combo with minimal mechanical issues only. Though his Friday pass was the quickest in class by 3 tenths, Drag Week contenders fight a war of attrition for the best average ET over 5 days, 4 unique tracks and more than 1000 miles traversed, rain or shine! Congrats to Jon Coleman on your 2nd Place WIN!
